The seven-wire strand is made up of six peripheral wires tightly wound in a helical shape around a central wire. The wiring length is 14-18 times longer than the nominal diameter of the strand. The diameter of the central wire is at least 3% larger than the diameter of the outer wires.
The three-wire strand is made by winding, in a helical shape, three wires of the same diameter, around a common theoretical axis. The wiring length is 14-22 times longer than the nominal diameter of the strand. - Technical Notice
